It’s hot out. Really hot. Still. But a few days ago I couldn’t take hiding from the heat anymore, so I ventured out with my camera to find things I hadn’t noticed before on our street.
I always regret not having enough pictures of the neighborhoods I’ve lived in (since usually I don’t want to seem ridiculous playing tourist where someone is likely to recognize me – almost all of my pictures of Nyons and Zamelek were taken in semi-stealth). In the past few months, I’ve tried to focus on taking photo safaris in walking distance of the apartment. It’s always so interesting to me how beautiful the things we surround ourselves with on a daily basis can be, and how much of that beauty we take for granted.
